On-the-job training for Alberta employees
Your team already uses AI. Now train them to use it for the company.
Everyone is using AI on their own. Applied AI Competency trains your employees to use it systematically, in the tools your company already has, so the company benefits and client and company information stays protected. Four mornings to learn it, and an observed assessment to prove it.
First classes start the week of January 18, 2027. Built for Alberta's trades, oilfield services, and the offices behind them. Eligible Alberta employers can apply to the Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant for up to half the fee back. How funding works.
Applied technology
Keep the people who know your company. Upgrade the way they work.
When AI shows up, many companies assume they need to hire someone new who already knows it. That means paying a stranger to learn your customers, your crews, and your way of doing things from scratch, while the people who have carried the company for years start to feel left behind.
Take a dispatcher who has run the schedule for fourteen years. She knows which customer needs a call before the crew arrives and which driver can handle a rough site. A new hire who is comfortable with AI knows none of that. Teaching her to use the AI already built into the company's email, documents, and scheduling software keeps everything she knows, and takes the repetitive work off her plate.
That's the Cornerstone difference. We bring the training to your people instead of replacing them. Employees learn on the work devices your company already gives them, in the software and documents they already use, at a pace that isn't overwhelming. We fit the tools to the person, not the person to a box of systems.

The Step-Back: learn it, apply it, prove it.
It isn't a seven-day course. Your employee learns over four Wednesday mornings, applies it on the job between classes, and then a teammate runs the task for seven days using the system.
Four Wednesday mornings
One live online class a week from January 20, 2027, 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., alongside employees from other Alberta companies.
A real task on the job or in the office
Your employee builds the system with your expert and hands the task to a teammate, with a facilitator supervising online. Everything stays in your company's own tools.
Seven days to prove it holds
A teammate runs the task for seven days using the system. When it holds, your employee is certified.
The Step-Back · Sound familiar?
"I don't know everything Stacy does. I just know everything works when she's here."
Dave owns an oilfield services company and still runs it himself. Stacy runs his office. With Stacy around, everything just works: the guys, the trucks, the jobs, the flow of the day.
Then Stacy told Dave she was pregnant.
Dave was happy for her, and quietly terrified. Who would fill in for her? He would, and he couldn't. Nobody knew everything Stacy actually did. They only knew that whatever she did made everyone's day easier. Those were the invisible gaps, and there was no way to cover gaps you can't see.
Here's what Dave realized. A checklist wouldn't save him. A diagram of Stacy's tasks shows what she does, not why she does it that way, or what she does when a truck breaks down at six in the morning. What made the office run was in Stacy's head: her reasoning, her judgment calls, the way she handles the crew. That had to come out and become a system anyone could run.
So Dave enrolled Stacy in the course. Over four Wednesday mornings she learned how to capture her own work, and between classes she built it into a system: the steps, the reasoning behind every decision, and what to do when things go sideways.
When her maternity leave started, a temp came in and ran the office the way Stacy does, using Stacy's system. The crews didn't slow down. Nothing piled up. And Stacy got to enjoy her time with her baby instead of dreading the chaos waiting for her when she came back.

What changed for two real companies.
Both depended on one person. Once that know-how was put into systems the team could run, a Calgary siding contractor went from $300,000 in the hole to $790,000 collected in under eight months.
