Funding for Alberta employers
The government can pay back part of the fee.
The Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant helps Alberta employers pay for training their employees. Our courses train employees on the job, and are built so eligible employers can apply.
How much
Up to half back, or more for a new hire.
- Training an existing employee: currently up to 50% of the cost, to a maximum of $5,000 per employee.
- Training a newly hired, previously unemployed Albertan: currently up to 75%, to a maximum of $10,000.
On a $9,500 seat, 50% back is $4,750. The grant is for training employees: owners and their immediate family members can't be enrolled under it.
Funding is decided by the Government of Alberta. We can't guarantee approval, and we never cover or refund the employer's share.
How it works
Apply before the class starts.
- Request your grant quote package below. It has everything the application asks for.
- Apply to the grant before the class starts. The employer applies, not the training provider.
- Register and pay the invoice by the registration deadline.
- Your employee completes the course. We give you the attendance records, certificate, and paid invoice you need.
- The government reimburses the approved share after completion.
